So Down! is a melodic pop-punk band from Boise, Idaho, driven by fast riffs, urgent melodies, and emotionally honest songwriting. Formed after the dissolution of beloved Boise band Broken Hipster, former members Sef Idle, Kevin Shortfuse, and Chris Devino teamed up with Alex Anderson to keep making music — channeling frustration, reflection, and resilience into something louder and more focused.
Drawing influence from all over the punk scene including the likes of Face to Face, Much The Same, A Wilhelm Scream, and Rise Against, So Down! plays fast, loud pop-punk that hits as hard emotionally as it does musically. Their songs balance speed and melody with weight — tackling regret, burnout, and human connection, without losing momentum or sincerity.
Their debut release, A Better Past, is an eight-track album centered on self-forgiveness and survival.
